Its not WHAT you ride, its THAT you ride

Image
Rick at rubbersidedown.net talked about riders views on others bikes in his latest post http://keeptherubbersidedown.net/2009/04/28/it-doesnt-matter-what-you-ride-yea-right/ So, I snapped a picture in the parking lot of our office on my way to lunch. A lot of us probably wouldn't ride one of the two bikes in this picture, but most of us would let either or both share a parking spot :) -Peace

Back in the Saddle Again!

Image
Disclaimer: NO, I didn't not suffer a closed head injury and purchase a sports bike. Relax, breathe in, breathe out. My buddy Steven Vore had a rather unpleasant experience with the BMW ownership. When the BMW lost a transmission the BMW shop estimated replacement or rebuild at more than the value of the bike, Steven reluctantly sold the bike for parts and was without a ride. It's really the wrong time of the year for not having a bike, and Steven is a round the year motorcycle commuter as well. So, the search ensued. Today, he found a replacement and is back in the two-wheeled world and a much happier camper. Congrats man! Let the farkle shopping begin :) It already has a Corbin seat, so at least that can be checked off the normal list!

Beer Butt Chicken

Image
For about 10 years, my brother and I have been cooking "Beer Butt Chicken" on the charcoal grill. I am still amazed that something so simply prepared tastes so good. Originally, we just popped the top on a beer can, set the chicken down on the can and carefully set it on the grill. Pour (yeah right) or drink off about a third of the beer and then add your favorite seasonings to the beer before inserting the beer in the chicken's cavity and its even better. Regardless, you end up with a really moist grilled chicken that goes really well with "tater salad". Of course the entrepenuer's of this great country seized the opportunity to make a buck and have since created a neat little rack that keeps the beer and chicken from tipping over. God Bless their little hearts. -Peace

The Resurrection

Luke 24 1On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8Then they remembered his words. 9When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11But th
