Leprechaun Lunch
So the majority of the morning you've been working frantically on support calls to resolve issues for 100 people that can't print. As soon as you get those 100 folks taken care of, you immediately get an emergency server down issue which traps you on the phone with Dell's award winning service and support for 45 mins to an hour and you watch everyone in the office walk out to lunch. Finally you get off the phone with Dell and its going on 1pm and you haven't been out of your chair since walking in at 7:45am. Now there is noone to go to lunch with so you're on your lonesome. What to do? What to do?
My answer was a trip to the local Irish Pub and Restaurant, The Loafing Leprechaun. The Leprechaun always has good service, good food, and a relaxing environment. Just what the doctor ordered.
A steaming hot cup of coffee, a french dip sandwich, and a little distraction the state of Georgia calls Keno for the days when there is no one else eating lunch and you're sitting by yourself.
This day I would spend $5 on the distraction and get $3 back. Depending on how you look at it, I either won $3 or lost $2. Is the shot glass half full or half empty? Who cares? Cheers! So, I don't get to retire on my distraction at lunch, but the GA school systems got $2 off me to fund the HOPE scholarship or buy faster computers for the kids to surf the internet in the school library. I do what I can.
On the way out, a nice fresh mint to give you delightful breath. Return to the grind refreshed and relaxed before fielding more of the technology struggles of our companies clients.
