OK, I did it


For my birthday, I gifted myself with my first tattoo. I've always heard everyone make such a big fuss about how painful it is. Hogwash! It was more annoying than painful.

The Legend of the Christmas Moose

The other day, someone stopped me and commented on the stuffed moose in a co-workers cubicle. The co-worker asked what a moose had to do with Christmas. I replied, "Oh, that is the Christmas Moose." I quickly realized my co-worker had never heard the legend of the Christmas Moose. Feeling Distant From God

And old couple was riding down a road in their 1970 Chevy Pickup - the wife sitting on the bench seat against the passenger door quietly looking out the window. They met another pickup on the road driven by a younger man, and a young woman was riding in the middle of the truck saddled up next to the young man.   The old man's wife looked across the cab at the old fella and remarked "Remember when we used to ride like that?"   The old fella looked down at the bench seat and the distance between his wife and himself and replied "I haven't moved."   That's how it is with our relationship with God when we feel distant from Him.  We shout out "God! Where are you? I don't feel you!"   He replies "I haven't moved!"   If there is distance in our relationship with God, it is because we have made a choice to move after something that is apart from Him.    "Therefore submit to God.
